A week after the popular UFC 152, which featured as its main attraction the duel between Jon Jones e Vitor belfort, another Ultimate event takes place this Saturday, but with less pomp. The fifth edition of UFC on FUEL will be held in Nottingham, England and will begin this Saturday afternoon (29). Despite not having Brazilians on the card, the event features as its main attraction a fight that could bring the winner close to challenging the Brazilian junior gypsy for the heavyweight belt.
The Dutch Stefan struve and the North American Stipe Miocic measure forces to have the chance to fight for the belt right after the Brazilian's duel against Cain Velazquez, in December.
“When I came to the UFC, I was as tall as I am now, but I wasn't very strong. This is something I have improved. I wanted to have more power in my punches. I have it now. It's important for me to keep guys at bay and use that power. That’s where I can do damage,” said Struve, who is on a three-fight winning streak.
In turn, Miocic has a different routine than most fighters. Despite the tough training routine, the American divides his time as a firefighter in the city of Cleveland, in the United States.
“My day keeps me grounded. When I show up to work, I'm not a wrestling star or anything like that, I'm just Stipe. I will continue working in my city as long as I can,” he said.
