It's not an exaggeration. Henry Cejudo literally begged Dana White to stop the UFC 'boss' from promoting a fight between the North American and the featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg.), Alexander Volkanovsky. On his social networks, 'Triplo C' made the request, maintaining his dream of the unprecedented feat of becoming champion in three different categories.

“Dear Dana White, I beg you to authorize me to present myself to the world as 'Quadruple Champion'”, wrote the North American on his 'Twitter' account.

Cejudo began to make history in Ultimate in 2018, when he shocked the world and ended the hegemony of Demetrious Johnson in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg.). After conquering the position of leader, the athlete moved up a category, in June last year, he won the vacant bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.) in a duel against Marlon moraes.

In addition to his two Ultimate titles, Henry boasts an Olympic gold medal, won in Beijing in 2008. For this reason, the fighter calls himself 'Triple C', or 'Triple Champion'.

In his last appearance, Henry stood out again by defending the bantamweight belt against one of the biggest names in the history of the category, Dominick Cruz. In the confrontation, the athlete surprised the veteran and won by knockout in the second round. After the duel in UFC 249, Cejudo announced his retirement, but always made it clear that he would return, if chosen to face Alexander Volkanovsky for the featherweight belt.
