Difference for the fight

Although they have similar records in Ultimate, Thiago believes that his career in MMA could make him stand out compared to his opponent. While the Brazilian debuted in the sport in 2012, Jalin made his debut in 2016.

“Experience will be on my side. Because my opponent is very tall, I will use this to my advantage and be able to use my jiu-jitsu”, said Moisés.

Situation of the lightweight division

Candidate to be among the elite of one of the organization's most competitive divisions, Thiago understands well the dangers that will be faced in the group led by Khabib Nurmagomedov. The 25-year-old athlete, however, shows maturity when talking about fighters at the top, who avoid facing opponents behind in the rankings.

“It’s one of the most difficult categories in the UFC. If you analyze the top 15, everyone there has a chance to win the belt. And, often, athletes who are not in the rankings too. So, whoever is up there doesn’t want to face whoever is behind,” he said.

Ideal ending for Saturday

Seeking to establish himself as a reality in the UFC, Moisés knows that a significant victory will propel him even further towards the top of the division. In this way, the Brazilian suggested a perfect scenario for his triumph.

“Finishment in the first round. The (performance) bonus didn’t come in the last fight, but, who knows now (laughs)”, concluded the athlete.

This weekend, Thiago will reach the mark of 18 appearances as a professional in MMA. To date, the fighter has 13 positive results and four setbacks. Turner, in turn, has 14 commitments, with nine wins and five defeats.
