Vitor Belfort compares Paulo 'Borrachinha' x Israel Adesanya to his fight against Anderson Silva

MMA legend is excited to see Minas Gerais' success and claims he is today's 'Phenomenon'

Even when they are quiet, Israel adesanya and Paulo 'Borrachinha' are in the spotlight. The athletes, who will take part in the main fight of the UFC 253, on September 26th, and one of the most anticipated fights of the year, were compared to an MMA classic, which was a watershed for the consolidation of the sport in Brazil: Anderson Silva x Vitor belfort. And it was precisely the second one who made such a statement. To the North American website Submission Radio, 'The Phenom' sees the miner as his new version and showered him with praise.

After the defeat to his compatriot, Vitor would fight twice more for the UFC belt, once in the light heavyweight (93kg), against Jon Jones, and another in the midfield, in front of Chris Weidman.

In turn, after beating the rival, Anderson Silva, who was already a dominant champion, defended the middleweight belt three more times, losing his unbeaten record in the UFC and, consequently, the title, only in 2013, against Chris WeidmanIn 2013.
