“I discovered that there is life after the fight. I needed to have some time to do things that I wasn't able to enjoy, like traveling, being out of training, being free. My body needed to heal too. I've committed a lot over the last few years and had a few surgeries. I spent fifteen years continuously fighting the best fighters in the world. It was tough, but time definitely heals all wounds,” said Rockhold.

The former champion also revealed that the current situation in the world was a determining factor in his return and assured that, with focus, he is the best athlete in the world. AKA (American Kickboxing Academy).

“The world is boring and I need more excitement. It really comes down to this. Options are limited and I miss fighting. This is part of me and I need that something more. It's motivating to see what's happening. I needed a little push. I feel healthy and with a clear mind. Without injuries, I'm a problem for every one of these guys. I don't feel like I'm finished. There are more fights in me. I like to fight, and when I'm in the gym, I'm still the best there. It’s a matter of fighting with a clear mind, a healthy body and eliminating whoever is in front of me”, he concluded.
