Relentless. Jairzinho Rozenstruik earned his reputation as a knockout artist and became junior gypsy another one of his victims. In one of the main fights of the UFC 252, held this Saturday (15), in Las Vegas (USA), the Surinamese took no notice of the former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg.) and won brutally in the second round.

The result confirms Cigano's bad phase in Ultimate. The knockout suffered by Jairzinho marked the third consecutive defeat for the Brazilian, who has not won since March last year.
With the triumph, Rozenstruik recovers from the tough defeat suffered by Francis Ngannou in May last year. The Surinamese now puts himself in a prominent position for a future title fight.
The fight
The duel began with the two athletes studying each other in the center of the octagon. Cigano took the initiative with a low kick, which was responded to with a direct shot from the Surinamese. Júnior scored with punches to Jairzinho's waistline, who was waiting for the best moment to attack. The Brazilian connected with a high kick, which stopped in his opponent's guard. The Santa Catarina native moved well, but was almost surprised by a counterattack from Rozenstruik. The duel remained tense and the heavyweights continued to divide in the middle of the octagon. After risking a kick, Júnior had his leg held and ended up suffering a sequence of punches. The Brazilian responded with a cross, which landed squarely in the Surinamese's face. In the final seconds, the confrontation was interrupted after a kick to the genital region by Jairzinho. The fight returned, but there was no more time.
In the second round, Rozenstruik took the initiative with a combination of punches, which almost shook the Brazilian. Cigano managed to free himself and continued scoring with jabs. Two minutes later, the Santa Catarina native surprised the Surinamese again with a cross, but Jairzinho showed a lot of resistance. The Brazilian tried to shorten the distance to strike more efficiently. Halfway through the round, the Brazilian landed a good direct hit on his opponent, but Jairzinho remained dangerous in his counterattacks. Almost in the final minute, Rozenstruik hit the Brazilian with a series of punches, which knocked the former champion down. Jairzinho continued hitting until the referee stopped the fight and declared a knockout.
Marlon Vera surprises and takes away Sean O'Malley's unbeaten record
Representative of roosters (up to 61,2kg.), Marlon Vera silenced the critics and put an end to the promising team's invincibility Sean O'Malley in the co-main event of the night. After a busy start to the match, the Ecuadorian took advantage of an injury to the North American's foot and scored a knockout in the first round.
Vera arrived at the confrontation as a big underdog. To win, the combatant would have to put an end to Sean's unbeaten run, which lasted 12 appearances.
O'Malley had won four consecutive matches since his UFC debut. With confident and imposing performances, the North American is considered a great candidate to be the organization's new star.
