Neither Miocic nor Cormier, Cigano chooses the best heavyweight of all time in MMA

Former UFC champion, Brazilian elevates the importance of DC and Stipe for Ultimate, but casts another name as a great exponent of the sport as a whole

This Saturday (15), at UFC 252, the world will know the best heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) in the history of Ultimate, at least that's what the company's president, Dana White, says. However, junior gypsy, former champion of the category, makes a reservation regarding the biggest name in MMA as a whole. In a promotional interview for this weekend's event, with the participation of SUPER FIGHTS, the Brazilian revealed who would be the best fighter in the category of all time.

"Who is the best? It's hard to say, but I would say Fedor Emelianenko. He did great things in his time. I'm a big fan of his. So, I’ll choose him, for now”, said the Brazilian.

Even though the Russian is a great reference in the sport, Júnior did not disagree with Dana when it comes to the best heavyweight in the UFC. With an important caveat, the former champion for the organization stated that the clash between Miocic and Cormier, which headlines this Saturday's card, could, in fact, define the best in the company's history.

“I think I agree (with Dana). The track record of both of them (DC and Stipe) is good, so at the moment it could be… but until I get there”, said the fighter.

PUBLICITY:

Cigano will be one of the Brazilian representatives on this weekend's card. The athlete has a tough commitment against Jairzinho Rozenstruik and the winner of the clash could be in good condition for a future title fight.
