Corey Anderson breaks with UFC and signs contract with Bellator

Current number four in the UFC light heavyweight division, the North American leaves the organization and agrees with a competitor after more than six years at home

Bomb. Current number four in the UFC light heavyweight (up to 93kg) rankings, Corey anderson is no longer part of the organization's group of athletes. The fighter broke with Ultimate and signed a contract with Bellator to continue his career. The information was released by 'ESPN' reporter, Ariel Helwani.

Even though he was defeated in his last performance, when he was severely beaten by Jan Blachowicz, in February this year, Anderson occupied a prominent place in the category led by Jon Jones and was a name considered for a future title fight. In his recent retrospective, the North American has recorded four victories in the last five fights, including one over Johnny Walker, UFC 244.

In Ultimate since 2014, the North American has had 15 fights, winning 10 and losing five. For the organization, Corey faced big names, such as Mauritius Shogun, Ovince St Preux e Glover Teixeira.

The athlete also made history in the UFC by becoming the winner of the 19th edition of the North American 'TUF' (The Ultimate Fighter). On that occasion, the light heavyweight defeated Matt Van Buren by knockout in the first round.

Currently, Corey is 30 years old and has 18 fights as a professional in MMA, with 13 triumphs and five setbacks.
