“As always, I go aggressively, trying to end the fight, whether by submission or knockout. This time, it won't be any different”, said Vicente in an interview with 'Combate'.
Coming from victory over Niko Price, in May, Luque understands that he needs to stay focused so as not to make mistakes. To come away with the new positive result, the athlete confirmed that he had studied his new opponent and guaranteed a convincing performance against Brown.
“He's a guy who works at distance, uses straight strikes very well, he comes from boxing, he has quick hands. But, at the same time, it's a game that suits me well, I like guys who are strikers, who accept the fight on their feet. The job is to shorten it. I had tall training partners too, we simulated this situation a lot. The ground is also a good way, I think I have an advantage on the ground, my jiu-jitsu is sharper. I see a fight ending before the three rounds, but at the same time I'll be prepared and with gas, if it's three rounds there's no problem”, he concluded.
Currently, Luque is 11th in the rankings in the division dominated by Kamaru Usman. The Brazilian continues his trajectory towards the top of the category.
