Current number one in the middleweight rankings, Whittaker stated that he will not choose opponents for his next commitment. The former champion said that he will face any opponent that the UFC offers, regardless of whether it is a title fight or not.
“I don’t care (who I fight). That's why the UFC loves me so much. They climb me and I knock them out. Eventually you will have to face everyone. Honestly, my biggest focus right now is going home,” Robert said.
Even without choosing opponents, Whittaker stated that he could be ready to be the substitute for the confrontation between Israel adesanya e Paulo borrachinha, who should face each other in September. The fighter stated that he is always prepared and could act if there is any unforeseen event.
