The Brazilian José Aldo suffered a big scare in Rio de Janeiro. The Ultimate featherweight champion, who is scheduled to defend his title at UFC Rio 3, on October 13, suffered a motorcycle accident on the streets of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
The fighter fell from his motorcycle in the Copacabana neighborhood and suffered minor injuries, including swelling on his foot. With the scare, Aldo must rest for a week, but should continue on the UFC Rio 3 card.
In addition to an ear tug, Dedé Pederneiras, Aldo's coach, banned his fighter from driving motorcycles to avoid further risks in the future. “He is prohibited from riding a motorcycle,” said the Nova União team commander.
