Less than a week after making history and winning the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg), Deiveson Figueiredo seems to already be focused on his first title defense. The Brazilian received an unusual challenge from the number three in the division, Brandon Moreno, and, right away, he agreed to exchange forces against his rival.

“We don’t need any more wars in this world. We need love and I have a lot of love to give,” wrote Moreno on his Instagram account.

Upon learning of the potential opponent's attack, Figueiredo didn't take long to respond to Brandon's post. In a provocative tone, the 'God of War' agreed to the meeting and suggested the month for the duel to be promoted.

“You’re going to get a lot of love in the first round. Be prepared to face me in November”, replied the man from Pará.

Last Saturday (18), Deiveson entered Brazilian MMA history after becoming the first athlete in the country to win a flyweight title. The achievement came after a dominant and overwhelming victory over Joseph Benavidez in the main fight of UFC Fight Island 2.

While the Brazilian is surfing at the best moment of his career, Brandon is trying to reach his first title fight since his debut in Ultimate. The 26-year-old Mexican currently has three appearances for the organization, with two wins and one draw.
