Rosa debuted in Ultimate in August last year, when she went to China and defeated Lara Procópio on points. Now, the athlete will have all the spotlight from MMA fans to showcase even more of her qualities.
Presentation on 'Ilha da Luta'
This weekend, the Brazilian will make history by participating in an event that will mark the reopening of Ultimate for athletes who do not reside in the United States. Analyzing the proportions of the show, the girl from Espírito Santo showed excitement for the confrontation.
“I was very happy to participate in this card. It will be the first card on 'Island', so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. Everyone is very excited to watch it. It's time for everyone to know who they are Karol Rosa”, stated the bantamweight.
Fight without an audience
Despite having a super structure at their disposal, which is prepared to receive athletes with all possible precautions, due to the pandemic, the public will not be present in the arena. Rosa then gave her vision of what it will be like to perform without fans.
“When there are fans, you get more excited, but without, I can pay more attention to my corners (coaches). I think this will be good,” he said.
Forecast for the clash
Although happy to participate in the UFC 251, Karol's commitment will end up dividing the Brazilian fans, as Espírito Santo will face another Tupiniquim representative. Rosa, however, considers the challenge to be normal and predicted how she would like the clash to end.
“I’m going for a submission or a knockout. What if you get a knockout and win the 'Bonus of the Night' (prize of approximately R$266 thousand)? It would be perfect. I'm well prepared, I've already been training. I’m very excited”, explained Karol.
Future in UFC
Today, in Ultimate, several athletes have tested themselves in other categories, seeking to add more and more to their attributes. Karol also imagines himself playing in another division and, depending on the Brazilian team, the action may not take long.
“I've had several fights at featherweight (up to 65,7kg). I plan to see it this year, who knows. If an opportunity comes to fight. I'll even ask. I feel good among the feathers. To get down (to the flies), it’s difficult (laughs)”, he concluded.
This Saturday, Rosa will reach the mark of 16 appearances since his debut as a professional in MMA. The fighter currently has 12 wins and three losses in her career.
