The Dutch alistair overeem is suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission until December 27th for doping. Like the Brazilian junior gypsy, Alistair's declared rival, has his belt defense scheduled for December 29th, Overeem could face the Tupiniquim champion, but no promotion of the fight would be done before the punishment ends, which would make the duel unviable.
However, the European heavyweight said he will file an appeal trying to reduce his sentence with the Nevada regulatory body, trying to reduce his sentence for good behavior.
“I'm not licensed to fight yet, so of course the UFC can't promote anything. I have to get my license first. And this is scheduled. I will be ready to get my license back in December, a few days before the (Cigano) fight”, said Overeem, in an interview with told the Uncensored MMA.
“We are going to the commission ahead of schedule with the argument of good behavior. We have been doing random testing on our own. All were witnessed by an independent doctor in hopes of getting licensed sooner. I think we'll make it. Maybe a conditional license, where I have to show up and do some tests,” added the fighter, who revealed when he will go to the Nevada Athletic Commission. “We have a date set for this month, but it is not confirmed yet. Let’s try, I hope we can do it”, he concluded

In my opinion regarding junior Cigano's next opponent, it would have to be a Cain x Over result and the winner would fight Cigano, as they both want the belt. The best will face the current junior champion Cigano. falow
