Former UFC welterweight champion, Matt hugs He is trying to recover from a serious knee injury suffered during his fight against Brazilian Thiago Alves at UFC-85, when he was knocked out in the second round.
In a statement through his blog, Hughes informed that he hopes not to have to undergo the surgery that was already expected at the beginning of the treatment.
“I received the results (of the exams). There is a chance of recovery on its own. Therefore, surgery is currently ruled out. I'm going to get a second opinion this week. This may change, but for now I will have surgery.”
