Nunes arrived for the confrontation against Spencer focused on retaining her title and maintaining her hegemony in women's MMA. The athlete then showed a lot of technique to nullify the former Invicta FC champion's ground game and, even though she was unable to finish or get a knockout, she proved once again that she is the best female athlete in the history of mixed martial arts.

The fight

The confrontation began with Amanda taking the initiative with a front kick to Spencer's waist. The Canadian responded with a series of punches and sought the clinch, but the Brazilian managed to move away. Nunes connected with a good cross to the challenger's head and continued striking with another cross and a straight shot. The 'Leoa' hit the Canadian's face again, who showed a lot of capacity to absorb the blow. Felicia tried the clinch again, but ended up being taken down by the Bahian, who fell into an advantageous position. The champion tried to get to the back, but the Canadian continued to defend herself. Amanda continued to strike her opponent from below, while her rival protected herself as best she could. Without much action, the round came to an end.

In the second stage, Nunes came back well with a counterattack to an attack by the Canadian. The Brazilian awaited her opponent's actions and surrounded the challenger. Spencer managed to land a straight shot that exploded in the Bahian's face. Amanda, however, continued walking forward and tried to find the knockout. Halfway through the round, Felicia tried a takedown again, but ended up suffering a fall from Bahia. The 'Lione' allowed her rival to get up and the confrontation was once again played on its feet. In the final minute, Amanda threw a spinning punch, which stopped in Spencer's guard. With just a few seconds remaining, the Canadian connected with a good high kick, but there was no more time.

Nunes continued to put pressure on the challenger, who was already showing signs of tiredness. In the final minute, the champion once again tested her opponent's resistance with a sequence of jabs, crosses and an uppercut. Amanda cornered her opponent, but the timer ran to zero.

In the penultimate round, Spencer took the initiative with a straight shot. Amanda absorbed the blow well and walked towards the challenger again. Nunes connected with a right hand bomb, which exploded in the Canadian's face and shook the challenger. Even at a disadvantage, Spencer continued to show great resistance to the blows imposed by the champion. Felicia showed danger when she responded to the Bahian's actions, but the 'Lione' continued to be very active in the fight. Near the final minute, Felicia tried to take the fight down again, but Nunes protected herself well. The champion responded with a cross to her opponent's face, who continued to show a lot of courage. In the final seconds, Amanda attacked her opponent and knocked the Canadian down with a series of punches and managed to secure a rear naked choke, but the challenger was saved by the bell.

The last round began with the champion throwing a sequence of punches followed by a low kick. Nunes placed her rival against the bars, but Felicia tried a takedown again. The 'Lione' defended herself well and fell on top of the Canadian. In an advantageous position, the Brazilian attempted transitions to seek a submission. Spencer tried to surprise the Bahian with a submission, but Amanda was paying attention.
