PUBLICITY:

Although she has been the featherweight champion for over a year, Amanda nunes he had not carried out any defense of his sentence title. Ever since he shocked the world by knocking him out Chris Cyborg at UFC 232, the Brazilian confirmed once and for all that she is the best fighter of all time.

With solid and imposing performances, the 'Leoa' can, once again, make history this Saturday. If you overcome Felicia spencer, Nunes will become the first woman to defend two belts from different categories and the second in the history of the organization, equaling the feat of Daniel Cormier, who was the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.) and, when testing himself in the top division, he surpassed, at the time, Stipe Miocic, taking the title from his compatriot.

With an impeccable recent record, Amanda hasn't known what it's like to lose since September 2014, when she was surpassed by Zingano cat, at UFC 178. Since then, there have been 10 consecutive victories. Among the victims are sports legends such as Holly holm, Valentina Shevchenko, Miesha Tate, the iconic Ronda Rousey and, of course, Cyborg.

2) Attention with Felicia

Even though she is already a respected name in world MMA, Amanda needs to pay attention to her next challenge. This Saturday, the Pojucana will be face to face against a dangerous opponent who has the Invicta FC belt on her resume.

With three performances since joining the group of Ultimate athletes, Felicia won two victories and sold the defeat she suffered to dearly. Chris Cyborg in the Brazilian's farewell fight from the UFC. Held in July last year, the Canadian ended up defeated by the Curitiba native, but it presented the biggest challenge of the former featherweight champion's career, after the 'Leoa'.

In her professional record, Felicia has nine fights, eight victories and only the defeat to Cyborg on her resume.

3) Assunção x Garbrandt

One of the big names in the bantamweight division, Raphael Assunção will look to make amends with victory this weekend. To do this, the athlete will have the duty to beat the former division champion cody garbrandt, which is also not in a good phase in the organization.

The Pernambuco native comes from two consecutive defeats, but still takes a prominent position in the category's ranking, in fifth.

The fight against the North American, in addition to the technical quality of his rival, can be difficult due to the former champion's desire and need to win. Cody became known worldwide after defeating the legendary Dominick Cruz and take his rival's belt in 2016. After a perfect performance, Garbrandt suffered his first defeat in his title defense, when he competed for the position against his former teammate, TJ Dillashaw.

Since then, the American has been unable to win again. After the setback, there were two more negative results, including the immediate rematch against TJ.

4) Jussier Formiga, eyes on the belt

Coming off two consecutive defeats, Jussier formiga is ready to get back on the radar for a future flyweight title fight. The athlete, however, will need to go through the dangerous Alex Perez, which comes from two triumphs in a row.

Currently in fourth place in the division's rankings, a victory could guarantee the Brazilian a chance to fight for the belt after Deiveson Figueiredo e Joseph Benavidez carry out the new confrontation.

Perez, however, will step up to the octagon with the intention of taking Formiga's place, as he currently occupies 9th place in the group.

5) Herbert Burns, Brazilian promise

After shaking up Brazilian fans by putting on a show against nate landwehr, making his debut for the UFC in January this year, Burns is back to prove that he is a name to be watched by MMA lovers and the company's management.

This weekend, the Niteroi native will face the experienced Evan dunham in a confrontation that will be held at catchweight (up to 68kg.). Aware that he entered the company on the right foot, the Brazilian will now need to show that he is capable of continuing to win until he earns his place at the top of the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg).

The clash will mark the 13th fight for Herbert, who has 10 wins and two losses in his professional record.
