The Brazilian GIlbert Durinho took the lift in the welterweight division rankings (up to 77.1 kg.). The black belt, who defeated the former champion Tyron woodley, last Saturday (30), jumped from sixth place to first place in the classification, dethroning his rival from his last fight.

In the Ultimate ranking update, released this Tuesday (02), Durinho left behind names such as: Colby covington, Jorge masvidal e Leon edwards, in addition to Woodley himself. Now, the Brazilian is only behind the division champion, the Nigerian Kamaru Usman. The fighter from Rio de Janeiro has even challenged the owner of the belt for a chance at the title.
Besides Gilbert Durinho, another Brazilian also rose a few places in the rankings. Heavyweight Augusto Sakai, who defeated Blagoy Ivanov last Saturday, it jumped from 13th place to 10th place. The Paraná native took the position of Shamil Abdurakhimov, Aleksei Oleinik and Ivanov himself.
Even without fighting, two other Brazilians moved the rankings among heavyweights. The gaucho Fabricio Werdum jumped from 15th to 14th place. On the other hand, in the same division, junior gypsy dropped from fourth to fifth place.
