Without finding any opponents in the UFC's light heavyweight division, the North American Jon Jones suffered a tough defeat outside the Octagon. The UFC champion was convicted in a New York court for the accident he was involved in in May, when he was driving his Bentley under the influence and alcohol and collided with a pole.
Jones will have to pay a fine of US$1, approximately R$2.040, and his driver's license will be confiscated for six months. In addition, he will have to take a refresher course, put a lock on the ignition (it works like a kind of breathalyzer), and have to reimburse the loss for damaging the pole, estimated at US$ 6,5, around R$ 13 thousand reais.
With the legal dispute resolved, Jones has a scheduled commitment to the UFC. He will defend the light heavyweight belt at UFC 151, September 1st, against the veteran Dan Henderson
