“Businessmen do not have the right to diminish professional athletes. He called us amateurs, Top 10 athletes. He wants to divert attention from the fact that I am the next challenger,” said Weidman.

With a record of nine wins and no losses, Chris is coming off a significant victory over Mark Muñoz and should be Anderson's next opponent, but the businessmen are considering a possible challenge against Georges St Pierre, champion of the welterweight division.

“They keep talking about other guys' names so people start seeing them as possibilities, but they're 'picking' guys like GSP and Nick Diaz to challenge, and they are both welterweights”, added Weidman, who did not fail to tease Anderson about opponents in a smaller category rather than a heavier one.

“The guy is a middleweight champion and should fight opponents in his category. They want lighter fighters than Anderson. Why not call the Jon Jones So, now is it time to get another weight range? A lot of people would love to watch this fight, just like I would too. If you're not going to fight him, fight me. I’m ready for it”, he concluded.
