With no fight scheduled and no guarantee of whether he will perform during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Conor McGregor decided to shake up social media. On his 'Twitter' account, the 'Notório' decided to make a list of the best fighters in the history of MMA. With some absences, the Irishman placed second.

“The set of knockouts, going through two divisions, with champion status, Anderson Silva He's the best of all time in MMA. Considering the series of knockouts, going through three divisions, I am second, or tied for first”, wrote Conor, who completed by listing the technical qualities of 'Spider' at his peak.
GOAT THREAD.
The array of finishes, across 2 divisions, with champion status in 1, Anderson Silva is No.1 MMA GOAT.
My array of finishes, across 3 divisions, with champion status in 2, I'm No.2. If not tied 1.
However still active, No.1 is fully secured by career end. And easily.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) May 23, 2020
“Anderson is clearly number 1. He has more plastic knockouts on his resume. Front kick to the face, elbows from below, knees to the face. It's a long, impressive list. Anderson and I have the most exciting and important fight outcomes in the sport. And I’m just warming up,” he explained.
Third, the Irishman chose another athlete who, like him, won belts in two different categories within the UFC. That's why, Georges St Pierre was placed at number three.
“GSP is in third. With fewer knockouts, but with champion status in two divisions. He's way behind, though. Reasons: Left welterweight (up to 77kg) after suffering a lot of damage and questionable results. He never engaged successors in the division. He avoided facing Anderson (Silva). He only moved when the 'one-eyed fighter' (Michael Bisping) he appeared. He worked in the security zone”, published 'Notório'.
GSP is in at 3. Much less array of finishes but champion status in 2. He is far behind though. Reasons = Left 170 after much damage taken+questionable decision. Never re-engaged 170lb successors. Bottled Anderson fight. Only moved when one eyed fighter presented. Played safe.

Closing the list with four names, Conor caused, for many, the biggest controversy among the names mentioned. The athlete selected Jon Jones in fourth and explained why he placed last – among his chosen ones – the one who is considered, by a large group of fans and MMA experts, as the best of all time.
“Jones is fourth, maybe, tied for third. He has more knockouts than GSP, he is still active. However, champion of only one division. Reasons: several lackluster performances decided by the judges and questionable points wins. Attempt to safely enter the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg) by arriving and avoiding the champion. I didn't mention the doping of several fighters, even though that clearly made me number 1, in addition to continuing to be active. It's shameful, in addition to putting all the victories and knockouts under doubt, I took the heads of several 'cheaters'. The true 'Best in History' (GOAT-Great of All Time) has to do all this. Many of Jones' rivals were Anderson's middleweight opponents (up to 83,9kg) and, despite the weight advantage, Jones wasn't even close to his knockouts,” he concluded.
Jon is 4. Maybe tied 3. More array of finishes than 3 and still active, but champion status in just 1. Reasons = Multiple lackluster decision performances + questionable decision win. Attempting to safe play HW entry/avoiding its champion.
