Since he defeated, with property, Donald Cerrone in January, McGregor became a name to watch at welterweight. After beating 'Cowboy' in a fight in the under-77kg category, 'Notório' was officially added to the category's ranking and can fight for the belt in the third different division.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Usman and Masvidal were in negotiations to exchange forces in July, at 'World Fight Week', in Las Vegas. The two even got into trouble behind the scenes at an NFL event, but the possibility of a confrontation ended up cooling down.
Conor has already publicly stated that he felt good playing at welterweight and that his plans for the future could, in fact, be in the current division.
Kamaru has not played since his first title defense in December 2019, when he crashed Colby covington by knockout in the main fight of UFC 245.
