Rousimar Toquinho is number 1 in Brazil

Rousimar Palhaes, known as Toquinho, is number 1 in Brazil in the up to 83kg category! This evening at Ginásio Mauro Pinheiro, in São Paulo, the BTT athlete submitted Fábio Negão and Daniel Acácio in the Fury Fight GP and became the main athlete in Brazil in the middleweight category.

In his first fight, after putting him down three times, Toquinho got Fábio Negão's back and, surprising his opponent, turned around applying his well-known leg-lock, submitting the Lótus MMA black belt.

Meanwhile, Daniel Acácio showed his striking power and knocked out André Mikito from Pará in the second round.

In the final, Toquinho was better throughout the fight, while Acácio avoided the fall, standing low, Toquinho applied a direct hit that knocked Acácio off balance and forced the fall. Then Mister Leg Lock applied the famous heel hook and finished the chuteboxer.
In the end, Toquinho became emotional and cried a lot, while his coach, Murilo Bustamente, took the microphone to congratulate the organization of the event, the victor, and the other fighters, especially Acácio, “an international level fighter”.

Belt buckled, Toquinho then humbly concludes: “I don’t consider myself number one. All four who arrived here are the best in Brazil.”

With the victory, Toquinho pockets a prize of 40 thousand reais given to the GP champion, while Daniel Acácio receives a prize of 15 thousand.
