The incident, which forces Lee to undergo a surgical procedure, comes at a curious moment in the fighter's career. After being defeated by Charles of the Bronx on the Brazilian card, Kevin, in an interview after the show, stated that he intended to put his career on hold for a while.

The lightweight (up to 70,3kg), however, preferred not to reveal how he injured his knee. Kevin, however, suggested that unhappiness could be related to the coronavirus (Covid-19).

“Honestly, I didn’t (get injured) doing anything out of the ordinary. I'm not going to say how it happened because of insurance. But I think I might have been affected by this virus thing. For some reason, I've been getting tired and my body isn't feeling well. I heard a loud popping noise. Since then I haven’t been able to move,” said the fighter.

With 24 performances in his career, Lee is going through a difficult time in his career. In his last five appearances, the athlete was defeated on three occasions.
