In recent weeks, Ultimate's president, Dana White, ended up giving in to pressure and officially halting the company's activities. The 'boss', however, assured that he and his team would continue working to find solutions that could get the company back to work.

The light at the end of the tunnel came when the Florida government authorized the return of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), allowing the sport to take place as long as some preventive measures were adopted, such as banning the public from attending its shows. The action, then, could allow Ultimate to hitch a ride and take its shows to the state.

The leading role in the show must be assumed by Tony Ferguson e Justin gaethje. The athletes will face each other for the interim lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg.) and, later, they must face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the unification of the belt.
