Munoz and Weiman at the UFC on FUEL TV 4 weigh-in
Still in the midst of the historic UFC 148, the largest MMA organization in the world is not stopping and, this Wednesday, will hold UFC on FUEL TV 4, an event that takes place in the city of San Jose, California. The main attraction of the show, it seems, should define the Brazilian's next opponent Anderson Silva, and Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman duel for the opportunity to compete for Spider's belt.
The show's fight program features four Brazilians in action: Rafael dos Anjos faces Anthony Njokuani, Rafael Sapo faces Andrew Craig, Marcelo Guimaraes will face Dan Stittgen and Raphael Assunção measures forces against Issei Tamura.
In the fight for the belt
Known for his efficient wrestling game, biggest flaw in the wrestling game Anderson Silva, Mark Munoz tries the chance to fight for the UFC belt. The American, who has a record of 12 wins and two losses, has won four consecutive victories and is promised to fight for the belt if he beats Weidman.
“I know it’s a difficult situation, but if I win the fight against Chris Weidman, I think I will deserve a title shot. Anderson is a guy I really like, we've trained together, but nothing will take me away from the title. If I have to face him, that's what I'll do, and then we'll be friends again”, says Munoz.
Already the undefeated Chris Weidman, who has a record of eight wins, is still not one of the favorites for the title fight, but a victory over Munoz, this Wednesday, could bring forward his opportunity.
“Today my head is completely focused on the fight against Mark Muñoz. But of course I think about fighting for the UFC belt at some point. If I win and get the news that I will face Anderson Silva, I won't be able to be surprised, because I think I will have earned that right.
