The urge to Henry Cejudo to face José Aldo ou Dominick Cruz It has not sounded good to the ears of some bantamweight athletes (up to 61,2kg.). Former champion of the category, Cody and Cejudo got into an argument on social media after the former number of the category mocked Henry's request for Cruz, defeated by Garbrandt in his last fight in Ultimate, in 2016.
“This is what I think about Dom (Dominick) facing that clown,” wrote Cody, captioning an image of him delivering a cross to Cruz’s face.

The 'Triplo C' didn't let it go easy and soon tried to respond with a provocation making reference to the former champion's defeat to TJ Dillashaw, in 2017, which cost him the title. Below, Henry posted another image defeating TJ.
“I kill the killers,” wrote the current champion.

In addition to Cody, another athlete who has been irritated by Cejudo's challenges is number three in the rankings, Petr yan. Undefeated in Ultimate with six fights played, the Russian insists on asking for a fight against the champion.
“How about facing someone who doesn’t come from defeat?”, wrote Yan.
How about fighting someone who's not coming off a loss? 🤦🏻♂️ https://t.co/G15OZTLQcK

Henry was scheduled to face José Aldo No. UFC 250, which would initially take place in São Paulo. The North American challenged the Brazilian, who was defeated in his debut for the bantamweights. Manauara, however, managed to do well in the fight against Marlon moraes and caught the positive attention of the company's management, gaining the status of challenger even though he lost.
The card ended up being removed from São Paulo and, from then on, Cejudo tried to challenge Dominick, as the Brazilian is unable to travel due to his work visa to the United States having expired and, due to the pandemic, the North American embassy not updating documents.
So far, with the cessation of Ultimate activities, there is no confirmation on who Cejudo's next opponent will be, who recently interrupted his training period.
