The realization of UFC 249, scheduled to take place on April 18, has generated discussions even among Ultimate employees. In doubt about his participation in the show amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the company's main commentator, Joe Rogan, once again questioned the promotion of the card, which still does not have a defined location, with less than 10 days remaining until it takes place.

“There is no social isolation in a cage fight. They (the fighters) will be sweaty. If Tony Ferguson is fighting, there will be blood, for sure. Everyone who faces Tony Ferguson They end up looking like they fell off a train. So there will be blood,” the commentator said on his podcast, 'Joe Rogan Experience'.

Rogan continued to explain why he disagreed, in part, about holding the event during one of the biggest health crises in history. According to the commentator, under normal fighting conditions, the risk of possible contagion is high and could generate serious consequences in the future.

“What if one of these guys tests positive (for coronavirus)? And if Justin gaethje test positive? He should face Ferguson. I think if someone tested positive they would kick them off the card. I think it's right. Then you would also have to quarantine the people who worked with him in the camp (training period), ”said Joe.

The Ultimate employee also spoke about the lack of transparency regarding the official location of the card. In recent days, there was information that the fights could take place on Dana White's private island, but on Tuesday (7), the 'New York Times' declared that the fights should take place in a casino located on a reservation indigenous people, in California (USA).

“We don’t know where (the card) will take place. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do, whether I'm going or not. I do not know where it is. I don't even know if it's in America. I don’t know anything,” concluded Rogan.

Even without knowing his fate, UFC president Dana White assured that Joe will be present as one of the commentators on the April 18 card.
