Excited, Tito Ortiz cries upon entering the UFC Hall of Fame

the american Tito Ortiz says goodbye to the octagon tonight (07), when he faces Forrest griffin at UFC 148 and has his last fight as a professional athlete. But before the confrontation, the fighter, who is the greatest champion of the UFC's light heavyweight division, was honored by the organization by entering the UFC's “Hall of Fame”.

the tribute to Tito Ortiz took place at Fan Expo, which is held in one of the halls of the huge Mandalay Bay Casino & Hotel. Ortiz was welcomed by hundreds of fans after a speech by UFC president Dana White.

“We are here to celebrate Tito’s career. I was his manager before bringing him to the UFC and, with him, I had my best and worst moments,” said White.

Very emotional, Tito, 37 years old and with 27 fights as an MMA fighter, received the honor, thanked the fans, and, crying, spoke about his career in the UFC.

“I was very scared before my first fight. But I trained hard and a star was born there,” she said. “I gave my heart, my soul and my body to this event. I had some problems, especially due to the injuries and surgeries, but I loved being here”, added the athlete who before UFC 148 had a record of 16 wins, 10 losses and one draw.
