The Brazilian Amanda ribas had a great performance at UFC Brasilia, which took place this Saturday (14), in the Federal District. With safe performance, the Minas Gerais company gave no chance to Randa markos and dominated the Canadian for three rounds. In the end, the combatant was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.
Considered one of the biggest promises in the strawweight division (up to 52,1kg), Amanda's fight was one of the most anticipated of the event. Undefeated since she debuted for the organization, the Minas Gerais native from Varginha showed once again that she can become a big name in the category.
With the triumph, Ribas now hopes to enter the elite of the group that is currently dominated by Weili Zhang.
The fight
The fight began with the athletes moving in the center of the octagon. Amanda took the initiative with a direct shot, which was soon answered by Markos. After a minute, the Brazilian took advantage of a slip by the Canadian and fell on top, starting the transitions to try for a submission. While putting pressure on her rival, Amanda hit Randa with hard blows, while her opponent defended herself. Markos managed to get up, but was then taken down by Ribas. The Minas Gerais woman remained very dangerous with elbows to the Canadian's face. The Brazilian continued to have an advantage, but the round was over.
In the second round, Ribas continued with more intensity. The athlete connected a good sequence of punches, followed by a round kick to Randa's waist. Amanda continued to put pressure on her rival and pushed her opponent against the fence, but was pushed away by the Canadian. The Brazilian continued walking forward and threw a right that exploded in Markos' face. A new round kick rocked Randa, who defended himself as best he could. In the final minute, the Minas Gerais native continued connecting the best blows and continued to have the advantage. With just a few seconds left, the Canadian landed a good elbow on Ribas' head, who responded with a round punch, but there was no more time.
The last round began with Randa attacking the Brazilian. After a sequence of jabs and straight shots, the Canadian managed a takedown and started attacking the Brazilian from below. Ribas managed to make the transition and started returning attacks to his opponent. The Minas Gerais woman tried to submit with an American, which was defended by Randa. Then, Amanda went for a katagatame, but Markos showed a lot of courage to defend himself. The Brazilian continued to land many blows on her opponent, but the timer ran to zero.

It wasn't this time that Bruno Bulldoguinho had his arm raised in Ultimate. In balanced combat against David Dvorak, the Brazilian managed to impose his rhythm in some moments of the fight, but ended up defeated by unanimous decision from the judges.
In Brasília, the native of Rio Grande do Norte made his second appearance for the organization and made his debut in his home category. Playing in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), Bruno ended up beaten and is waiting for his next appointment to try for his first victory for the company.
Dvorak made his UFC debut and the positive result against the Brazilian extended his number of consecutive victories to 13.

Without fighting for over a year, Mayra Sheetara he didn't have the return of his dreams in the Octagon. In a fight against Marina Moroz, the Brazilian showed strength, but ended up being defeated by unanimous decision from the judges.
No UFC Brasilia, Mayra entered the fight with the intention of achieving another victory and maintaining her unbeaten record in her career. The Minas Gerais native now has one setback in six fights.
With the triumph over Sheetara, Moroz reached his second consecutive victory and the 10th in his professional record.

The Brazilian Elizeu Capoeira won again in Ultimate. After being defeated in his last appearance, the welterweight recovered from the setback suffered at UFC Shenzhen and defeated the dangerous Alexey Kunchenko. In the much-studied fight, the man from Paraná obtained a positive result in the unanimous decision of the judges.
The Capoeira victory marked the 22nd positive result in the athlete's career.
