At a great stage in his career, Charles of the Bronx is close to facing one of the toughest challenges in his career in Ultimate. Coming from six consecutive victories, the São Paulo native will have the opportunity to touch the elite of the lightweight division once and for all, but to do so, he will have to go through Kevin Lee.

In addition to facing a great opponent, the Brazilian will have the duty to overcome a rival who will arrive heavier in the confrontation, as the North American failed to make the weight cut last Friday (13), and will enter the octagon with a physical advantage .

The co-main fight of the night will certainly be one of the most anticipated of the event, as, in addition to being two big names in the UFC, the fight will mark the meeting of two Brazilians known for their excellence in jiu-jitsu.

Demian Maia no comments. The Brazilian is famous for having led one of the best migrations from the 'gentle art' to MMA. With two title fights under his belt, the 42-year-old from São Paulo continues to perform at a high level and postpones retirement.

Newcomer to the welterweight division (up to 77kg.), Gilbert Durinho He is experiencing one of the best phases of his career. With two impressive victories since returning to the category dominated by Kamaru Usman, the Niteroi native continues with the desire to stay active and face the best in his group. The duel against Maia was a personal request granted by Ultimate. A victory over his compatriot could represent a significant leap for Durinho in the division, as Demian is currently in fifth place.

3) The return of Johnny Walker

The Brazilian Johnny Walker He went from heaven to hell in just one year playing for Ultimate. Owner of an aggressive and relaxed fighting style, the athlete shone in his first three appearances for the company, when he knocked out his opponents in a meteoric way.

Johnny quickly fell into the fans' favor. With a strong personality and confident performances, the athlete soon entered the company's radar and emerged as a possible name to challenge Jon Jones for the welterweight belt. Walker, however, failed the first opportunity he was scheduled to fight against an elite fighter in the category.

In November last year, at UFC 244, the Brazilian took to the octagon to face Corey anderson. Against the North American, however, the fighter from Belford Roxo (RJ), was unable to repeat his good performances and ended up being knocked out in the first round. From then on, Walker became the target of criticism regarding his performance.

This Saturday, against Nikita Krylov, the Brazilian will have the opportunity to prove that the defeat is in the past and that his confidence has been restored.

4) Jussier Formiga and the dream of the belt

Among the 24 athletes who will perform this weekend, Jussier formiga It is, perhaps, the combatant who has the most responsibility. Third in the flyweight rankings (up to 56,7kg) the Brazilian faces Brandon Moreno for a chance to qualify to play for the division belt.

The athlete was close to the opportunity when he faced Joseph Benavidez, in June last year, at UFC Minneapolis. However, the native of Rio Grande do Norte ended up being knocked out by the North American, who would compete for number one in his next match.

'Joe' fought for the belt on February 29, but ended up defeated by Deiveson Figueiredo. The man from Pará, however, was unable to keep the belt because he failed to make the weight cut for the dispute.

Formiga carries with him the advantage of having been the first and last man to defeat Figueiredo, and the fight took place in March of last year. Therefore, a victory over Moreno could put Jussier close to the title.
