Luis Beição's contract with the UFC only lasted two fights. The fighter from Rio was released by the organization after the setback suffered by Matt Brown at UFC on FX 4, an event held on the 22nd.
Beição was hastily called up in August 2011 to replace the injured Siyar Bahadurzada at UFC Rio. On that occasion he was knocked out in 40 seconds by Erick silva.
