“Honestly about this (belt), I don’t even know what to think anymore. We can speculate, assume whatever we want, but only the UFC knows what happened and when it would happen. I mean, it doesn't surprise me, the only thing that's kind of bizarre is being in a division where the title isn't running. The title is on hold, so we don't even know if it will happen or when. Maybe in six months, in a year,” said Francis.

Ngannou, in turn, comes from three devastating victories in the first round; the last one about junior gypsy in the main fight of UFC Minneapolis, in June last year. Francis, then, has expressed his desire to fight for the title, given his recent record within the organization.

“Being there, waiting, is a little stressful, so I don't want to think about it anymore. At least now I have something to focus on, even if it's not exactly what I wanted. But, yes, I stay focused on (Jairzinho) Rozenstruik, and that keeps my mind busy”, he concluded.
