The wait is over. After months of speculation, the fight between Henry Cejudo e José Aldo finally got off the ground. The athletes will exchange forces in the main fight of the UFC 250, which takes place in São Paulo, on May 9, in a dispute for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.). The information was confirmed by Dana White in an interview with 'ESPN'.

The confrontation between Cejudo and Aldo began to gain strength after the man from Manauara – despite the defeat – performed well in his debut in the bantamweight category, held on December 14, at UFC 245. On that occasion, the 'People's Champion' had the role of facing the former title challenger, Marlon moraes. Even though he surprised with his performance, Aldo ended up losing in a split decision from the judges.
Right after the UFC 245, the owner of the belt, Henry Cejudo, used social media to praise José and say he was open to a confrontation. The president of the organization, Dana White, in a press conference after the show, also expressed his opinion about the fight, stating that, in his view, the manauara was the winner of the fight.
Although the title fight had not yet been confirmed, both José and Cejudo had already started provocations on social media to promote the confrontation.
Recently, Ultimate confirmed the trilogy between Mauritius Shogun e Rogério Minotouro. The Brazilians once again share the fighting platform 15 years after their first meeting, at PRIDE, in 2005.
