Although the main attractions of UFC 247, which took place this Saturday (8), in Houston (USA), were the defenses of the Jon Jones e Valentina Shevchenko, it was the athletes on the preliminary card who ended up catching the attention of the Ultimate board and receiving the famous bonuses after the show. The 'Fight of the Night' award was given to Trevin giles and James Krause, while mario bautista e Kalinn Williams were honored for 'Performances'. Each received US$50 (around R$200). The information was released on the official 'UFC' website.

The fight between Giles and Krause drew attention due to the fact that James accepted the fight less than 24 hours before this weekend's event. The North American agreed to replace the Brazilian Antonio Arroyo, who felt ill after the weigh-in that took place last Friday (7), and promoted a real war against Trevin to the public.
In the fight, Krause managed to put Giles in danger and almost defeated his opponent in the first round with a rear naked choke. Trevin, however, managed to recover and evened out the fight until the end of the third round, when he was announced the winner in a split decision by the judges.
mario bautista is another athlete who has plenty of reasons to celebrate. Responsible for holding the fourth fight of the night against Miles Johns, the American, in addition to achieving a great victory in his career, was able to break the unbeaten record of his opponent's career, who had never been beaten in a professional fight.
Ultimate debutant, Kalinn Williams This Saturday he lived probably one of the most incredible nights of his life. The first time he entered the Octagon, the 25-year-old American was able to give the audience an incredible knockout over the experienced alex morono in less than 30 seconds of combat. The fighter arrives at lightweight (up to 70,3kg.) as a good surprise for the board and could become a big name for the division in the future.
