Almost two months have passed since the battle between Kamaru Usman e Colby covington for the welterweight title (up to 77kg.) and the North American still hasn't swallowed the defeat he suffered against the champion. After being knocked out by his rival, 'Caos' made harsh statements and demanded an immediate rematch, suggesting that he was harmed during the fight. The statement was made in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'.

“I went there and beat Kamaru Usman for 24 minutes until the referee called a false stoppage. A stupid stop. He stopped the fight when I was coherent and still in the fight. There was a foul too. He hit me four times on the back of the head and asked for victory because he didn't want the results to go to the judges because I could win,” said Colby.

Covington insisted that the champion was favored in the fight and stated that he intends to win the right to repeat the fight against Usman. Shortly after the spectacle, the American had used social media to harshly criticize Mark Goddard, the fight's referee, whom he accused of having favored his opponent. Now, 'Chaos' has once again rebelled against the professional.

“It was two against one that shitty night. It wasn't one on one. I was robbed of a fair one on one fight. That son of a bitch (Mark Goddard) made a clear difference in that fight, and if 'Marty Fakenewsman' didn't have that shitty referee, I'd be world champion right now, and I'll get my rematch and it'll be a different story.” shot.

It seems that Covington will have to wait for another chance to return to play for the belt. The athlete is recovering from an alleged fractured jaw suffered as a result of a direct hit from Kamaru.

While the 'loudmouth' doesn't return to training, Usman is in negotiations to face Jorge masvidal to carry out his second belt defense. So far, there is no set date or location for the confrontation, but the athletes are already teasing each other and the fight already has the approval of Dana White, president of the UFC.
