The tragic death of one of the greatest names in basketball history, Kobe Bryant, shocked the world last Sunday (26). The athlete, along with eight other people, including his daughter, was one of the victims of a helicopter crash in Calabasas, in the United States. In order to pay tribute to the NBA star, several mixed martial arts personalities published their condolences on their social networks.

UFC president Dana White also spoke out about the disaster that took the life of the basketball icon.
"Terrible. Rest in peace, my friend”, wrote the 'boss'.
The disaster happened hours after Chris Cyborg win the Bellator belt. The athlete, however, did not fail to pay tribute to Bryant.
“Kobe, the world will miss you, but your legacy will live forever through the changes you helped create in communities,” Cyborg posted.
Jiu-jitsu legend Renzo Gracie also took the opportunity to pay his respects to the former player and his daughter. The fighter spoke with emotion about the star's death.
“May God be waiting for you with his arms wide open. May God bless you and your beautiful daughter”, published Renzo.
Light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.), Jon Jones paid tribute to Kobe and remembered the athlete's family. The fighter paid his condolences to the former player's wife.
“I can't stop thinking about Kobe's wife. May God give her strength. Rest in peace, Kobe. Thank you for the example of excellence.
Bryant was 41 years old and was on his way to a game that would be played by his daughter, Gianna. According to the police's assessment, the weather was not suitable for flights and the strong winds may have influenced the air disaster.
Investigations into the causes of the helicopter crash are still ongoing.
