After his contract with the UFC ended, it didn't take long for him to Thiago Pitbull decide where he would work in his next commitments. After signing a contract with 'Bare Knuckle FC', the Brazilian explained why he opted for 'bare knuckle boxing' instead of remaining in MMA. In an interview with 'Ag.Fight', the fighter spoke about the subject.

“The negotiation with Bare Knuckle went very smoothly. I told them what I wanted and they gave it to me. There are three fights per year (in the contract). Thank God this proposal will give me the opportunity to leave my family at peace for the rest of my life. I'm excited to fight without gloves. I fought MMA without gloves in Brazil five times, with PRIDE rules, but it's been a while. I don't think there's much difference between going out with an MMA glove and without it, but I'll be prepared”, said the athlete.
Confirmation of Thiago's fate was announced by the president of the new company, David Feldman. The boss told 'MMA Fighting' that he projects the fighter's debut in the organization for April or May. With this, Pitbull guarantees that he is already in preparation to perform in the best conditions.
“I'm already training without gloves, making my hand stronger so I can break bums' heads when I punch them. I don't think there will be much of a difference, especially since I'm used to a four-ounce glove. The biggest difference is for those who box or kickbox, who are used to a bigger glove”, he concluded.
Thiago performed in MMA for 18 years. In total, the 36-year-old from Ceará made 38 appearances, winning 23 and being defeated on 15 occasions; the last in the commitment against Tim means, UFC Washington, in December of last year.
