Close to making his return to MMA, after more than a year away from the octagon, Conor McGregor has shown signs that he is a calmer human being than the athlete who became known worldwide. With a fight scheduled for this Saturday (18), at UFC 246, when faced Donald Cerrone, the 'Notório' once again answered questions about José Aldo. In an interview with journalists, the Irishman did not rule out a new clash against the man from Manaus, who he defeated in 2015, winning his first UFC belt.

"Never know. If Aldo comes to me. Maybe, if he wants. I thought he looked in very good condition at his last weight cut (UFC 245, in December). I was very impressed with it. It takes a lot of discipline to achieve this. He had a great fight against Marlon (Moraes)”, said McGregor, who completed his answer about a possible new fight against José: “Never say never”.
Against Aldo, Conor raised the level of provocation and shocked the world by defeating one of the best featherweight athletes in the history of MMA before 20 seconds into the fight. There are those who say that the Irishman managed to dominate the manauara's psychology, that he was not even able to put his fighting strategy into practice.
With the triumph over the Brazilian, McGregor confirmed himself as one of the main stars of Ultimate and began to accumulate audience records in his presentations for the organization. Over the years, the athlete became richer, gained more fame and even got the chance to compete twice for the belt in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg), winning once and being defeated the other.
Against Cerrone, this weekend, the 'Notório', currently fourth in the ranking of the division dominated by Khabib Nurmagomedov, will try to return to the path of victories within the company, something that has not happened since 2016.
