Jacaré’s trainer does not rule out that his pupil will eventually return to light heavyweight

Josuel Distak confirms that the athlete can play in the middleweight division and highlights the possibility of the Brazilian testing himself again in the Jon Jones category

After making it official Ronaldo Jacare will return to compete in the middleweight category (up to 83,9kg.) in 2020, one of Espírito Santo's coaches, Josuel Distak, did not rule out that the pupil could once again take his chances in the light heavyweight category (up to 93kg.). According to the coach, the athlete can be seen performing in both categories, but the main focus is on the division currently dominated by Israel adesanya. In an interview with 'Ag.Fight', Distak spoke about the Brazilian's situation.

“The decision was made by the team. (Ronaldo) Jacaré will fight in both categories. When there are important fights at 84 kg (middleweight), he will fight to rank for the belt and, when there are fights at 93 kg (light heavyweight), which are important for him and the team, he will also be present. Wherever the wind blows, he will be fighting”, declared Josuel.
