Brazil has a new representative in the UFC bantamweight division. After the Japanese organization Dream announced the end of its actions, Manauara Bibiano Fernandes, the event's bantamweight champion, decided to move to Ultimate.
Bibiano's debut is already scheduled. He faces Roland Delorme, who is coming off two consecutive victories, at UFC 149, an event that takes place on July 21, in Calgary, Canada. The main fight of the event will be José Aldo, who will defend his title against Erik Koch.
With an MMA record of 11 wins and three losses, Bibiano was the category champion at Dream, but the Japanese event had financial problems, he last performed on December 31st. On that occasion, the Brazilian defeated Antonio Banuelos by technical knockout in the first round.
