In the fight, Chan sung jung – Zumbi's real name – avoided a takedown attack from Edgar and, in the counterattack, threw a series of punches that took the North American to the ground. He even managed to survive punishment on the ground plus a rear naked choke attempt. However, when he got back to his feet, he was caught with yet another punch combination and went to the ground.
