The victory of Marlon moraes about José Aldo in one of the fights UFC 245, held last Saturday (14), in Las Vegas (USA), continues to create something to talk about. “A lot of respect for my opponent. It was an even fight. I watched the third round a few times and I'm sure I won. I managed to connect the best blows even with my defensive movement. Aldo walked forward but without throwing any blows and every time he tried, he made mistakes and my combinations connected clearly. I respect opinions but I am being honest and critical
Open for a Rematch or any other fight the UFC proposes, no problem. My answer is always 'yes'”, wrote the Friborg native.
The confrontation against Aldo marked Marlon's attempt to recover after the defeat suffered by Henry Cejudo, in June this year, when the athlete, together with the North American, competed for the division's vacant belt. At the time, the Brazilian was defeated by knockout and had his four-fight winning streak interrupted.
For Aldo, the battle against his compatriot also had great meaning. The fight in UFC 245 it represented Manauara's debut in the new category and a victory could place him as a challenger for the category title.
Even defeated, José can be seen fighting for the belt soon. For the president of Ultimate, Dana White, the result in favor of the Friburgo native was unfair and, according to his score, the Manauara man was the winner of the fight.
