the defeat of José Aldo for Marlon moraes No. UFC 245, held last Saturday (14), appears not to have shaken Manauara's prestige with the board or with the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.), Henry Cejudo. After losing to his compatriot in his debut in the new category, the 'People's Champion' ended up being challenged by the title holder to a clash. The attack was made on the North American's official Twitter account.

“I want to ask for applause José Aldo for his latest performance. Many people thought he won (Marlon moraes). I want to congratulate you. Now, I want to challenge you on my terms. I want to fight him in my city: Rio de Janeiro. Dana White, sign the contract”, concluded the champion.

José's performance against Moraes actually surprised many critics who questioned the athlete's migration from featherweight to bantamweight. For many people, the severe weight cut would be detrimental to the manauara, who, according to some people, would be unable to fight at a high level as he did in the best phase of his career.

Inside the octagon, however, what we saw was a motivated athlete capable of standing up to the number one in the category's ranking. Aggressive and fast, the man from Manaus performed, together with Marlon, one of the best performances of the night, being praised by the president of Ultimate, Dana White.
