Released by Ultimate last week, Liz Carmouche could appear as Bellator's newest fighter. The athlete, who was taken by surprise with the news that she is not part of the company's plans in 2020, has already received a proposal from the company chaired by Scott Coker and is in negotiations. The information was released by 'MMA Fighting' reporter, Steven Marrocco.

“Bellator is already working to sign Liz Carmouche. Just waiting for the UFC to make the release official,” wrote Steven on his official Twitter account.
Carmouche was part of the group of fighters that helped in the rise of women's MMA within Ultimate. Debuting for the company in February 2013, the athlete, along with Ronda Rousey, was responsible for the company's first title fight.
In the confrontation against Ronda, Liz was another victim of 'Rowdy's' submissions and ended up defeated in the first round.
For the UFC, Carmouche competed in 10 fights. Recently, the athlete was among the flyweights (up to 56,7kg) and even competed for the belt against the current champion, Valentina Shevchenko, which also marked his last performance for the organization. Against the Kyrgyzstani, Liz was defeated by unanimous decision by the judges in the main fight of UFC Uruguay.
At 35 years old, the American has made 20 appearances as a professional in MMA since her debut in the sport in March 2010. In total, Liz has 13 wins and seven losses.
Bellator has already made inroads to pick up Liz Carmouche. Waiting on official release papers from UFC.
