After another defeat, Thiago Pitbull confirms his stay in MMA: 'I have a lot of fight in me'

One of Brazil's most experienced representatives in Ultimate, Thiago Pitbull, suffered yet another defeat in his career last Saturday (7), at UFC Washington. After a good start in the fight against Tim means, the athlete ended up being surprised in the first round by a submission. After the setback, the athlete made a post on his official 'Instagram' account stating that he will remain active in the sport.

“The fighting game! I chose this life and I put everything on the line every time I step into that Octagon. So I don't regret it. This is definitely not the result I wanted and worked so hard for. But one of the reasons I love MMA is just like in life, you don't always get what you want. It's very honest and pure. I am grateful for the opportunity to literally fight for my dreams and the life I want”, wrote Thiago.

The athlete took the opportunity to thank his team, who helped prepare for the duel against the North American. Ultimately, Pitbull ruled out any possibility of retirement. At 36 years old, the fighter from Fortaleza (CE) says he still has motivation to continue performing in mixed martial arts.

“I would like to thank my ATT (American Top Team) team, all my coaches and teammates for the incredible work we do. […]To all my true fans for your unconditional support, I thank you. I'm not finished yet, I still have a lot of fight left in me. Let’s see where this crazy journey takes me next”, concluded the fighter.

The setback suffered by Thiago increased the number of defeats for Ceará to 10 in their last 16 appearances. With the negative result, the Brazilian's situation within the UFC may have become complicated and the fighter continues to depend on a victory to breathe easy within the organization.
