“It hurt a lot more, for sure. In my fight against Conor, we faced each other and he landed a good punch. In Rio, it was about the performance. That's what bothers me. I couldn't do anything. I haven't tried anything. If you lose trying something, that's okay. You feel sad about losing, but at least you tried. You fought. But then I feel embarrassed. I can’t watch that fight”, said the former champion.

In addition to being disappointed with his performance against Alexander, Aldo saw his last rival qualify for the fight for his old belt after his victory in the UFC 237. Volkanovski will try to take the title of Max Holloway in a valid confrontation for UFC 245, on December 14.

José, however, stated that he knew how to take advantage of the setback for the Australian. According to the manauara, he would not have made the decision to take on a new challenge in the lower category, if he had emerged victorious in his last performance.
