Used to being seen as a 'bad-boy', the attitude ended up generating a comical and curious situation, as the public is used to always seeing Nate with a closed expression and always with the upper hand.

Several personalities were present at Medison Square Garden, in New York, on November 2, to attend the main attraction. The champions Kamaru Usman (welterweight) and Israel adesanya (middleweights) were present, as was the Hollywood star, ‘The Rock’, who was responsible for placing the symbolic title, created exclusively for the event, on the champion.

The highlight, for some people, was the presence of the President of the United States there. Donald Trump and his entourage excited some supporters present at the venue and increased the show's audience.

In the fight itself, Diaz ended up being defeated by technical knockout, after being prevented from returning from the third to the fourth round. The American had a deep cut on his right eyebrow, which forced the company doctor to interrupt the fight. Jorge, in this way, was declared champion.
