The chapter involving the 'Toughest Motherfucker' belt in Ultimate appears not to have come to an end after the UFC 244, which took place this Saturday (2), in New York (USA). After the anticlimax of the end, when Nate diaz was prevented from continuing in the fight due to a deep cut on his right eyebrow, the athlete revealed that he intends to finish the fight against his rival. The statement was made at the press conference after the event.

“If you're the 'toughest', you have to make it to the end. He (Masvidal) won fair and square, but I want to finish the fight. He knows I would like to finish. I was ready for it. That's my plan. That’s the only thing I want to do,” said the athlete.

Although he is not optimistic that Ultimate will give him the chance to face Jorge again, Nate used the example of his second fight against Conor McGregor to endorse your request to the organization.

“I know how these things work. I believe it is fair. I need to have my revenge. I will come back. Do things right and safely. I will come back 100% and win this fight. You will see the real champion,” said Diaz.

Still in the octagon, Nate's opponent, Jorge, admitted his desire to have a new duel against Diaz. Visibly disappointed, like part of the audience present at Madison Square Garden, the belt winner showed his desire to write another chapter in the story between the two 'bad boys'.

Moments before Diaz's interview, however, Dana White tried to minimize the possibility and reveal that a new fight is not in the UFC's plans.

Before exchanging forces for the title of 'Toughest Motherfucker', all parties had already agreed that the dispute would only happen once. However, few imagined that the ending would be like what happened this weekend.

After climbing into the Octagon for UFC 244, Nate had his second fight in 2019. The last time the athlete had performed twice in the same year happened in 2016, when the North American faced Conor McGregor in a duel valid for the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.).
