PUBLICITY:

the meeting between Jorge masvidal e Nate diaz It won't be worth an official Ultimate belt, but it very well could. To make up for the lack of a title fight in a numbered event, the company's management chose two of the company's most charismatic athletes at the time.

Controversial and foul-mouthed, Nate built his career on a strong personality and a reputation for taking his actions without thinking about the consequences. With his unique style, the fighter has won over a large number of fans and, with each fight, he becomes one of the UFC's most commercial employees.

Diaz returned to the Octagon after a three-year hiatus to face the former lightweight champion (under 70,3kg), Anthony Pettis. In the confrontation that took place in August, at UFC 241, Nate showed that he did not feel the lack of rhythm and dominated his compatriot for three rounds. After the duel, the 'bad boy' challenged Masvidal still in the octagon.

Jorge is also going through a great phase in his career. The American achieved stardom after defeating the company's former pupil, Ben Askren, after delivering a brutal knockout in just five seconds. The action shocked the world and caused Masvidal's popularity to increase considerably, resulting in the athlete being selected to headline a card for the first time since his UFC debut.

For the confrontation between Nate and Jorge, Ultimate created a belt specifically for the event. Entitled 'Toughest Son of a Bit in the Game', the object was valued at around US$50 (approximately R$200).

To enhance the spectacle, the belt, in accordance with the rule, will be given to the champion by 'The Rock', one of today's biggest action film stars.

One of the most exciting athletes in the middleweight division (under 83,9kg) will be back in the Octagon at UFC 244. After being defeated by Israel adesanya in a fight valid for the category's interim belt, in one of the most exciting fights of 2019, Kelvin wants to get back on the winning track so he can try to fight for the belt in the future.

The defeat to the Nigerian interrupted a sequence of two victories for the North American, who needs the victory to seek a rematch against Israel, which currently holds the linear title in the division. To that end, Gastelum will have to ruin the Darren till, who will make his debut in the division after moving up from welterweight.

Till is going through a turbulent time in his career. Coming from two consecutive defeats, the Englishman decided to breathe new air among the heaviest athletes. If he defeats Kelvin, Darren will start on the right foot and has everything he needs to take the fourth position in the middleweight rankings occupied by the North American.

One of Brazil's great promises for the welterweight category is Vincent Luque. The Brasilia native, famous for his aggressiveness and for not rejecting fights, will face a great challenge this Saturday. On the main card, Luque will exchange forces against Stephen Thompson, former category title challenger.

The clash marks the main fight of Luque's career to date. The Brazilian is coming off a great victory over Mike Perry, which took place at UFC Uruguay, where the two fought a true battle in the Octagon.

Against Vicente, Thompson will try to regain his winning ways. The North American is coming off two consecutive setbacks, adding up to three defeats in his last five appearances.

If he defeats Stephen, Luque could jump from 14th to ninth place in the division's rankings, which would bring him closer to the category's elite and increase his dream of fighting for the belt in the future.

In addition to the triumph, Vicente is trying to increase his number of victories to six.

4-Johnny Walker, promise or reality?

If there is a fighter who gained great notoriety in 2019, this man is Johnny Walker. With just three appearances for the UFC and responsible for delivering brutal knockouts to his last opponents, it didn't take long for Walker to fall into favor with MMA enthusiasts.

This weekend, the athlete from Belford Roxo (RJ) will face the biggest challenge of his career. The fighter will face an elite light heavyweight athlete (up to 93kg) and will need to prove that he is worthy of all the praise he has received.

Contra Corey anderson, seventh in the ranking, Walker will have the opportunity to jump three positions in the ranking and will be able to consider himself, in fact, one of the candidates to dethrone the unquestionable Jon Jones, which he hasn't lost in 10 years.

To stop the Brazilian, Anderson will be able to rely on his recent career record. The American has won three consecutive victories and hasn't lost in almost two years.
